Nikhil Advani is wrapping up the shooting of his film D Day that stars Rishi Kapoor in the unenthusiastic lead role. In the recent past, Rishi Kapoor has played the role of Rauf Lala in Agneepath and more recently, a policeman in Aurangzeb. We know that no role is a task for an actor of his stature!
This Nikhil Advani’s crime thriller is set to be a hard-striking film with five National Award winners making up the movie. For his upcoming film D-Day, Rishi Kapoor has donned the cap of an underworld don.
These are Rishi Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Irrfan Khan, Shankar Mahadevan and Nikhil Advani himself. Huma Quereshi and Shruti Haasan are the leading ladies in the film slated to hit theatres on July 19.
Even as the role is merely that of an underworld don, Rishi Kapoor’s character bears striking resemblance with Dawood Ibrahim! After playing the deadly butcher Rauf Lala in Agneepath and a policeman in Aurangzeb, Rishi Kapoor is the new honest man of Bollywood.
The trailer of the film shows Rishi Kapoor in a moustache, similar to the one everyone relates to Dawood Ibrahim. Rishi will be seen in a role with stark similarity with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim in the film D Day.
The vast transformation from a romantic heartthrob to a cruel villain, Rishi Kapoor is surely set to emerge as the new Mogambo or Gabbar of Bollywood. Rishi has previously worked with Nikhil Advani in Patiala House in the role of Akshay Kumar’s father.
The film is being made by Nikhil Advani, with whom Rishi Kapoor had worked in Patiala House. Huma Qureshi of Gangs of Waseypur fame and Shruti Haasan are the leading ladies in the film.
